Ideas for bone project?

my cousin is in nursing school and she has a project that she has to make a bone? we need ideas we don't have much money to buy crafts. but i had the idea of paper mache . but how would we make the shape of a bone?? please help we are trying to do this project today! thanks so much for your ideas and help.
