98 jimmy, new fuel tank, filter, pump has gas pressure but engine gets none, starts with either then dies. why?

replaced fuel tank, filter & pump. started up and idled for about an hour, also would turn off-wait-and started it up a few times before test drive. Got maybe mile down road & died. Now will not start, it trys, but nothing. All new parts work & gas pressure is good. Spary either and it starts then dies. There is no check engine light on. So, DK what to check for with out replacing all sensors & injectors. All costly.. Has anybody dealt with this before, any ideas that's not cost me more than a new engine?
