It hurt pretty bad but they guy who did it used a bigger needle than most and twisted the needle around once it was in and wanted it to bleed. He said it helped clean it or something? And when he put the jewelry in he kept twisting and pulling on it to see if there was enough room. Those were the only parts that hurt. You'll be fine, the night I got it done I spent the whole night dancing and I was fine so sitting for graduation won't hurt.
