I have a cat and I am thinking about getting a dachshund?

I used to have a dachshund and a cat. they got along great! we got them both when they were little so they grew up with each other around. If the dog you're getting is a puppy it should be fine. If its not then ask whoever youre getting him from if he does well with cats.
