How do i fix my jailbroken ipod touch 2G?

ok so i jailbroke i ipod touch 2G 3.1.3 iso it worked fine till i wanted to upgrade to 4.0 iso so i just clicked restore so i could restore it to factory default and it asked me to upgrade it and restore so i click update and restore all seemed fine it got all done then it started to verify ipod touch restore and after it was done with that it gave me error 9 i sent the details to apple i went to this page http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 that didnt work i watched this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEUS__u-oZE that didnt work rite now its in recoverymode so i tried to put it in DFU mode and that didnt work what do i do? PS. i also tried this site http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1275
