What's wrong with my eyes?

They feel like they're full of dust if I open them at night. If I eat a cookie then the pain goes away within seconds. In the morning there are very small bits of something along my eyelids and the covering of my eye is wrinkled up like a crinkled piece of celephane in places. It's usually gone by noon.
