Is String Theory actually a scientific theory?

It is a theory for how all forces may be tied in together. Hard to verify as when a string is isolated for us to evaluate - just that process changes it. Ponder this gravity is not a force but a result of strings interacting to form atoms / planets etc and these interactions warp the other strings to form cascades so other objects fall into one another - gravity being a result vs. a force. Perhaps there is no matter but energy of strings. Perhaps our reality is just a Newton's cradle of strings ping on waves of information
